Established in 1972, Karakan’s mission has been, and still is, to empower individuals through our core values of inclusion, connection, and resilience. We are driven to make positive impacts by recognising the inherent worth of each and every person, helping them navigate their path to recovery and well-being through unparalleled support and guidance. Finding an effective mental health provider can prove challenging and oftentimes overwhelming, which is what we at Karakan are here to eliminate.

As a community-based not-for-profit mental health provider we stand fiercely against marginalisation, stigma, and isolation that individuals with mental health needs and psychosocial disabilities can experience.
