NDIS Social and Community Participation

Everyone has unique interests and ways they wish to engage with their local community, which is why we offer a range of NDIS community participation services to help you find the perfect fit.

Social Activities

Whether it is catching up with a loved one over coffee or a group hangout at the park, we help you socialise with the people you care about as well as creating opportunities to make new friends. At Karakan, we truly place an emphasis on helping you nurture relationships through fun social engagements, such as going to the movies or experiencing dinner parties with your friends.

Sporting Events

No matter your skill level, our NDIS assistance with social and community participation helps you play the sports you are interested in. We can organise a fun game at the park between friends, or help you research clubs that operate in your local area to get you involved. If playing isn’t your style, we can also accompany you to any games of interest, supporting you while you cheer on your favourite team!

Learning New Hobbies

Has a new hobby piqued your interest, or is there something you have always wanted to try out but never had the chance? Whether it is fishing, painting, or learning how to play an instrument, our community support services extend to helping you take part in these new activities. If you enjoy this new hobby, we are more than happy to engage in this activity with you on a regular basis.

Work Experience

It can be a daunting experience to apply for a new job, especially if you do not have any experience in the relevant field. That’s why our assistance with Social And Community Participation helps with securing you work experience so you can gain the necessary skills and experience for the job you desire.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to your local community, whether that is by helping feed the homeless or working at the local animal shelter. Through NDIS community participation, we set you up with a volunteering program designed to grow your skillset while allowing you to engage with your local community.

Exploring Nature

NDIS Social And Community Participation can be as simple as going for a group hike through a designated walking trail. Exploring nature together is a great way to socialise while discovering the local wildlife. The health benefits of regular physical activity also flow into your daily life, helping you to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
